Summary

The Lung Cancer Navigator app helps patients manage their lung cancer. It provides support, guidance, and tools to help patients and caregivers navigate the journey from diagnosis to treatment.

The app is aimed at:

  • patients diagnosed with lung cancer
  • caregivers and supporters, such as family members or friends, helping a lung cancer patient with their treatment
  • healthcare professionals, such as care teams of doctors and nurses when looking for resources to share with a patient.

The app pulls together in one place tools to help each of these audiences.

It can help patients to:

  • Personalise the tools, for example by recording the type of lung cancer, stage and diagnosis date to receive tailored information and support
  • Set up reminders for appointments and when to take medication
  • Keep up with the latest lung cancer research
  • Track symptoms and side effects of treatment
  • Make notes, for example preparing questions to ask doctors
  • Invite people into a `team chat’ area to communicate direct with informal and professional carers.

Review:

“The LUNGevity Lung Cancer Navigator is a customizable mobile app that puts your entire support network in the palm of your hand.

The app was created for lung cancer patients, family caregivers, and support team members to manage life after a lung cancer diagnosis. It helps you understand your diagnosis and provides tools and forums for asking questions, detailing symptoms, and managing medications. The app is a great way to communicate with your healthcare providers and to request support from friends and family.”
