Reviews

Reviewer: Grassroots Suicide Prevention
Review: Features are: Suicide prevention tools- both designed for those who are worried about someone, and those with thoughts of suicide. Key features include: -Quick access to national crisis support helplines -A mini-safety plan that can be filled out by a person considering suicide -A LifeBox to which the user can upload photos from their phone reminding them of their reasons to stay alive -Strategies for staying safe from suicide -How to help a person thinking about suicide -Suicide myth-busting -Research-based reasons for living -Online support services and other helpful apps -Suicide bereavement resources. Drawbacks are: Only first stage funding, would like more features. Would like the app to be gamified, with progress bars when filling out sections to stay safe for now, reasons for liviing etc. We would like in next stage funding version to have the addition of music or videos to the LifeBox, would like GPS service, enabling the user to have access to local crisis services. But overall the app doesn't have weaknesses of such. Everything on the app serves as tool to seek and get help for thought of suicide and to maintain positive well-being.
